Khaman Dhokla


It takes time to prepare Dhokla made with rice and pulses,but this one is an instant recipe for making Dhokla. With this recipe you can make Dhokla whenever you want.It is very tasty and easy to make.Check out the step by step procedure to make these totally yummmm bites..

Ingredients:-
For Batter:-
* 2 Cup Gram flour ( Besan )
* 1 Cup Plain Yogurt ( Whisked )
* Turmeric powder a pinch
* Water as needed
* 1 1/4 tsp Eno fruit salt ( lime flavor )
* Salt as per taste
* 1 tbsp Oil
* 1 tsp Green chili paste (or as per your taste)

For Tempering:-
* Few curry leaves
* 2 sliced green chilies
* 2 tbsp oil
* 1 tsp sugar
* 2 tbsp lemon juice
* 1 tsp Mustard seeds
* 4 tbsp water
* Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:-
* Take gram flour in a bowl,then yogurt and water and mix it well to avoid lumps.
* Add turmeric,salt,oil and green chili paste into it.
* Keep aside for 1-1 1/2 hours.
* Now prepare the steamer,grease a pan to steam the dhokla in.
* Add eno to the batter and mix properly.
* Pour batter into the greased pan and put it into the steamer.
* It takes around 20 mins and dhokla will get ready.
* Allow it to cool little bit.
* Once the dhokla cools cut it into square pieces.


For Tempering:-
* Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,curry leaves and sliced green chilies into it and let them splutter.
* Add water,lemon juice and sugar into it.
* Turn off the flame once it starts to boil.
* Pour this mixture over each and every dhokla with the help of spoon.
* Keep aside for 10 min.
* Garnish with chopped coriander.
* Dhokla is ready,serve it with tamarind or mint coriander chutney.
