Moong Dal Ka Halwa


Moong Dal Halwa is quite easy to make,made with yellow moong dal & specially popular in winter months..
This recipe will serve 4.

Ingredients:-
* 1 Cup Yellow Moong Dal
* 1/2 Cup Sugar (adjust according to your taste)
* 3/4 Cup Ghee
* 1 Cup Milk
* Pinch of saffron
* Pinch of cardamom powder
* 10-12 Sliced almonds for garnishing

Method:-
* Wash dal thoroughly & soak in water for 5-6 hours.
* Drain excess water & blend the dal into thick paste using very little water.
* Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan.
* Add blended moong dal & saute over low heat till the dal turns golden brown.
* Add sugar,saffron,cardamom powder & milk.
* Stir well till it gets droping consistency.
* Garnish with sliced almonds.
* Serve hot.
